This year in May, I got a letter from Prof. Stief, Deputy Medical Director of University Hospital of Munich. He was traveling in Kalahari Desert of Southern African Highlands, where power frequently goes out and there is no internet access. At that time, he was away from the human society and forgot all the worries. He is living such a fulfilling life. You and I shall see our lives as an adventure and let the gem-like enthusiasm burn bright in our hearts. When you really understand the true masters, you can understand the real meaning of life. The Greater Snow marks the beginning of coldness. The snow arrives at the right time naturally. Hope you are sound in winter, and greet you with the falling snow. Fleeting time will never makes us anxious. We shall take our time to appreciate the scenery, and let the worries go with the wind. Christmas of 2023 is coming. aWe have sent 61 Chinese doctors to renowned university hospitals in Germany to pursue their M.D. study and do postdoctoral research. For the last three years, the academic leaders of each specialty from German university hospitals have received Chinese doctors for the first time as their doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers. If a common doctor wants to grow into an excellent one, and even a top one in the future, The only way is to learn, keep learning for a lifetime, and learn from the great doctors. The key to achieving success quickly is to learn standardized specialty knowledge, surgical techniques, and global thinking. Brandenburg Gate stands quietly thousands of miles away. How I miss Germany, our doctors, and our friends. How I miss the cities and towns of Germany, the Christmas market in Göttingen, and the dinner at Lorenz Adlon Restaurant. The Isar River flows tranquilly. Miss you all, and merry Christmas. Love in the winter lasts, and we are sound despite the flowing time.
