March 4th-9th, 2019
From March 4th to 9th, 2019, Prof. Hermann Otto Mayr, Head of Department of Knee, Hip and Shoulder Surgery of Schön Klinik München Harlaching, came to Jiangmen Central Hospital for visiting professor. He participated in the Communication of Sports Medicine - Knee Surgery in Jiangmen, and also witnessed the establishment of the Sino-Euro Communication Center for Sports Medicine.
During this period, Prof. Mayr has completed ward rounds, key complicated cases discussion and outpatient clinic. With all his patience, careful examination, Prof. Mayr gave every patient the best diagnostic treatment.
On March 7th, ushered in the most exciting day. International Sports Medicine Master Prof. Mayr performed a Total Knee Arthroplasty(TKA), which was a live broadcast. Yuanqiao Huang, Director of the Department of Extremities and Sports Medicine in Jiangmen Central Hospital was the key commentator, enabling everyone to inspect and learn from the surgery at home and decode the mysteries of joint, which has set a record of over 80,000 click rate.
After the live surgery broadcast, Prof. Mayr and the doctors carried out the second operation without a stop which is the first cartilage transplantation surgery on knee in the history of Jiangmen Central Hospital.
And Prof. Mayr attended the 2019 Sino-Euro International Seminar on Sports Medicine and Knee Joint Surgery, host by Jiangmen Central Hospital, with 50 experts from Jiangmen, Xinhui, Zhongshan and Zhuhai city respectively presented. Prof. Mayr gave a lecture on “Technical errors lead to early-stage failure on TKA”
On March 9th, the closing ceremony of the Sino-Euro International Seminar on Sports Medicine and Knee Joint Surgery was successfully held in Jiangmen Central Hospital. Both sides reviewed the academic exchange work, achievements as well as results.
Prof. Mayr expressed great thankfulness to everyone’s support and efforts. Meanwhile, he spoke highly of the Extremities, Joints and Sports Medicine Department and believed that this is an excellent team. He also looked forward to his next visit to jointly promote the development of orthopedics medicine cause.
March 12th-16th, 2019
From March 12th to 16th, Former Medical Director of Vitos Orthopedic Center Kassel and Chief of Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction, Prof. Siebert arrived in Dongguan People’s Hospital for one-week visiting professor communication. After that, Prof. Siebert and the representatives of Dongguan People’s Hospital unveiled the plaque of the Sino-German Joint Communication Centre together.
During the outpatient clinic, Prof. Siebert and Director Zhou gave diagnosis to more than 30 patients. Prof. Siebert’s excellent medical skills and serious attitude have been recognized by patients and their families.
On March 14th, Prof. Siebert led a THP surgery, whose patient was a 79 years old female. Prof Siebert applied an anterior approach. During the operation, Prof. Siebert explained the operation pivot. Doctors who participated in the surgery gave exclamations that how fast and fluent the surgery was. They said they had acquired a lot of advanced knowledge and gained a lot.
March 15th, President Cai of Dongguan People’s Hospital and Prof. Siebert of Vitos Orthopedic Center Kassel signed the Framework Agreement of Friendly Hospital Cooperation together. In the future, these two hospitals will organize a series of cooperation in clinics, talents, scientific researches and management. In the meeting, Prof. Siebert wished his coming can achieve more contributions to the hospital.
On the last day of the exchange, Prof. Siebert gave an international open lecture. In the class, Prof. Siebert shared some cases on infections of the prosthesis and the treatment of that. He also shared his experience on the application of short stem implants in replacement.
In the opinion of Prof. Siebert, doctors are neither artisans nor medical machines. The so-called doctor should be the existence of a life-saving ambulance. This view coincides with the views of doctors from the Dongguan People's Hospital. During the week, from academics to technology, from technology to management, both sides broke through the barriers of language and conducted a real exchange.

From March 11th to March 16th, 2019, Prof. Dr. med. Hermann Otto Mayr, Head of Department of Knee, Hip and Shoulder Surgery of Schön Klinik München Harlaching, served as a visiting professor in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM for one-week academic exchange.
Prof. Mayr introduced Schön Klinik München Harlaching and his department in detail, and also shared the success of the orthopedic department of Harlaching in Munich, Germany.
In the outpatient clinic of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM, many patients came to this hospital after hearing Prof. Mayrs coming. Among all patients, one of them was an overseas Chinese. No matter facing to outpatients or facing to inpatients, Prof. Mayr were very patient and gave detailed treatment methods.
Apart from attending ward rounds and case discussion, Prof. Mayr has carried out surgical guidance and practice in the hospital. Doctors and nurses there showed their appreciation to Prof. Mayr because his surgeries were very rigorous and standardized. They thought Prof. Mayr was so precise that any details were perfect.
During this period, Prof. Mayr, accidentally, caught a cold and had a fever. Knowing Prof. Mayr’s situation, Director Cao proposed to treat him with acupuncture and blood-letting therapy. Quickly, Prof. Mayr’s headache had relieved and swallowing wasn’t so painful. At noon, his fever also abated. Prof. Mayr said that this was his first attempt at Chinese acupuncture. He lamented that Chinese medicine was amazing and was grateful to Director Cao for applying acupuncture treatment.
On March 16th, Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine held in the inaugural ceremony of the China Association for Disaster & Emergency Rescue Medicine, Sports Injury Branch, Joint Sports Injury Group and the unveiling ceremony of the Sino-German Communication Center for Sports Medicine. At this meeting, a number of sports medicine and joint experts from home and abroad gathered together. The ceremony also thanked Prof. Mayr for a one-week academic exchange at the Third Orthopedic Department in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM.
Subsequently, the Former President of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Yubo Lv, Director Bolai Chen and Prof. Mayr from Schön Klinik München Harlaching held an exceptional opening ceremony for the establishment of Sino-German Communication Center for Sports Medicine.
Zilian Li, Deputy Director of Traditional Chinese Medicine Bureau of Guangdong Province, spoke highly of the Sino-German Communication Center for Sports Medicine project of the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He hoped that the center and the platform of the society will enable China to understand the world and let the world know about the new China, understand traditional Chinese medicine, and make the technology of excellent Chinese and Western medicine benefit both China and other countries.
March 18th-23rd, 2019
From March 18th to 23rd, Prof. Walther, Medical Director of Schön Klinik München Harlaching and Medical Director of FIFA Medical Center Munich, came to Foshan Hospital of TCM as an international visiting professor for one week and took part in the unveiling ceremony of the Sino-German Communication Center for Foot and Ankle.
During the consultation, Prof. Walther made diagnoses earnestly, answered patients’ questions patiently and gave professional advice. His rigorous diagnosis approaches and academic attainments gave a deep impression on fellow experts while his kind attitude gained the patients’ praise.
Prof. Walther gave a lecture on foot and ankle surgeries in Foshan Hospital of TCM. The topics were: History, Current Situation and Future of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Europe and How to Manage Patients in Foot and Ankle Department. He also shared with us the tips to control the average time of Patients’ staying in the hospital within 2.1 days.
From March 20th to 22nd, Prof. Walther led two surgeries and instructed 5 surgeries. Other surgeons in the surgery said Prof. Walther’s procedure had taught them a large number of skills and technology, helping them expand their horizons. Besides, Prof. Walther watched foot and ankle surgeries in Foshan Hospital of TCM which made a deep impression on him because he thought the primary doctor’s skill was professional.
From March 22nd to March 23rd, Director Zhu of Foshan Hospital of TCM held the Diagnosis & Treatment of Sports Injuries to Foot and Ankle Seminar successfully. A great number of renowned experts presented, with the topic of sports injuries to foot and ankle, they communicated through open classes, complicated cases discussion and live streaming procedures to share their opinions. The active academic discussion further promoted doctors’ communication and cooperation, improving the medical technology of the Foot and Ankle Department of Foshan Hospital of TCM.
At departure, Prof. Walther said, “This short exchange is going to the end. I have felt the hospitality of Foshan people. I believe, through the deeper exchange between Foshan Hospital of TCM and Schön Klinik München Harlaching, we will have better cooperation in the future.”
March 25th-30th, 2019
From March 25th to 30th, Prof. Siepe, Head of Department of Spine Surgery, Schön Klinik München Harlaching, came to the Orthopedics Department of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM to work as a visiting professor for one week. Vice-President Jun Liu, Director Bolai Chen, Deputy Director Yongjin Li, etc. held a welcome ceremony for Prof. Siepe.
At his stay, Prof. Siepe participated in ward rounds and case discussion, and provide detailed diagnosis and treatment plans for patients.
During the outpatient clinic, after hearing the news that an internationally renowned spine expert Prof. Siepe came to the Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM, many admiring patients came here for medical advice.
Apart from guidance and practice on spine surgery, Prof. Siepe as well conducted two special lectures for the spine department of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM. Prof. Siepe analyzed and explained the surgical standard procedure, the key technical difficulties of the operation and so on in a specific, vivid way and humorous language, sharing the years of experience and methods from minimally invasive spine work with the participants.
On March 29th and 30th, Prof. Siepe attended the 8th Lingnan Spinal minimally invasive innovation forum. The conference mainly focused on the heated and innovative topics such as spine endoscopy technique, microscopy technique, artificial intelligence assistive technique and so on. More than 600 orthopedic experts and scholars at home and abroad were invited to discuss the issues and communicate in depth. It is reported that over 50,000 people watched the online live broadcast of the conference.
To promote the international communication and develop the Sino-German minimally invasive spine industry, the plaque of the world’s first Sino-German Spine Exchange Center in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM was officially unveiled, which established a platform for Sino-German spinal communication to enhance advanced ideas and cooperation. President Yubo Lv, President Dacan Chen, Deputy President Jun Liu and Director Dingkun Lin of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM unveiled the plaque for “Sino-German Spine Exchange Center” with Prof. Christoph J. Siepe and Prof. Daniel J. Rosenthal.
Prof. Christoph J. Siepe explained the key point and clinical effects of Spinal lumbosacral sacral anterior fusion surgery.
He pointed out that he was amazed to see such a modern and general TCM hospital that had advanced techniques in minimally invasive spine surgery and its minimally invasive techniques in spine had already reached the advanced international standard. During his stay, he experienced the unique effect of traditional Chinese medicine such as cupping, massage, acupuncture and so on. After that, he had a strong interest in the integration of Chinese and Western medicine. He hoped that the mutual exchanges can be enhanced in the future, benefiting the patients with osteopathia in both countries.

From March 25th to 30th, Prof. Rosenthal, Head of the Section of Spine Surgery, Hochtaunus Kliniken gGmbH, Germany, came for a one-week visiting professor’s work and participated in the unveiling Ceremony of Sino-German Communication Center for Spine.
Prof. Rosenthal has provided a lot of advanced surgical techniques and philosophy through surgery practice as well as guidance and has provided a lot of valuable experience in the management of operating rooms. Under the guidance of Prof. Rosenthal, the surgical process in the hospital was optimized, and the efficiency of orthopedic surgery in Jiangmen people's hospital was greatly improved.
On the afternoon of March 29th, Prof. Rosenthal held an international open class of spine surgery in the Jiangmen People’s Hospital, explaining the latest global concept of minimally invasive spine surgery.
On March 30th, Prof. Rosenthal and Director Yizhong Lin of the People’s Hospital of Jiangmen attended the 8th Lingnan Spinal Minimally Invasive International Innovation Forum in Guangzhou and gave a wonderful speech on spinal surgery.
“Every visit of Prof. Daniel Rosenthal brings targeted new technologies and new ideas based on the situations and needs of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery in our hospital. This is conducive to improving the technical level and specialty construction of our hospital.” Yizhong Lin said. In last September, under the guidance of Prof. Daniel Rosenthal, the Department of Spine Surgery successfully carried out minimally invasive spinal techniques. Since then, the number of spinal surgery patients in the department has increased in multiples. Lin also said: “Previously, in some difficult spinal surgery cases, we didn't dare to do or couldn't do the surgery so that patients had to go to provincial hospitals. Now we have more technology which is good for patients and able to solve their problems locally without seeking medical treatment everywhere.”
May 6th-11th, 2019
On May 6th-11th, Prof. Le Huec, Chief of Spine Unit and Chairman of Department of Orthopaedic and Traumatology at the Bordeaux University Hospital, was invited to Jiangmen Central Hospital for academic exchange and attended the unveiling ceremony to set up the “Sino-French Communication Center for Spine” between Bordeaux University Hospital and Jiangmen Central Hospital.
During this visit, Prof. Le Huec shared plenty of new procedure skills and emphasized the importance of building a standard diagnosis and treatment process.
In the outpatient clinic, Prof. Le Huec came to the Outpatient Department of Jiangmen Central Hospital and made a diagnosis for 24 patients who had made an appointment in advance. Besides, Prof. Le Huec examined patients’ bodies and analyzed their situation in detail to make individualized treatment plans. In the meanwhile, he taught the accompanying doctors some diagnosis methods and plans. The accompanying doctors thought that they benefited a lot.
In the complicated case discussions, Prof. Le Huec emphasized spinal biomechanics many times and offered some advice to the doctors. Furthermore, he showed his angle examination application which was invented by himself. He used the phone camera scanning the images on the computer, then this application would analyze the angle of lumbar and report in detail.
Prof. Le Huec also operated on a patient with spondylolisthesis to impart innovative surgery philosophy. He believes that keeping enough balance to do partial reduction instead of a complete reduction. In the afternoon, Prof. Le Huec went to the ward and examined the situation of the patient who accepted his procedure in the morning. Prof. Le Huec asked her to leave the bed and try to walk. The patient tried to sit up, stand up and to walk with a crutch successfully.
President Yuming Li showed a high recognition to Prof. Le Huec ’s work in Jiangmen Central Hospital and extended his appreciation to Prof. Le Huec ’s help for Jiangmen Central Hospital. He also said he hoped that Prof. Le Huec would come to Jiangmen as a visiting professor again.
Prof. Le Huec affirmed the diagnosis and treatment level of Jiangmen Central Hospital. He pointed out that spine surgery cannot develop without introducing advanced equipment and update of concepts. Therefore, he briefly introduced some situations of the newest equipment. At last, he wished that Jiangmen Central Hospital would develop better and better in the future.

On June 10th-15th, President of the Society for Foot Surgery and Ankle Surgery (GFFC), Consultant at the University hospital for Trauma Surgery, Orthopedics and Plastics Surgery in Göttingen, Prof .Dr. med. Hartmut Stinus has been invited to Dongguan Traditional Chinese Medicine as a visiting professor and conducted a one-week academic exchange, as well as the unveiling ceremony of Sino-German Communication Center for Foot and Ankle.
During ward rounds and outpatient clinic, Prof. Stinus communicated with the patients with great patience and checked up the patients’ body in detail and got to know the patients’ diagnosis. And then Prof. Stinus came up with some valuable recommendations on surgical methods, postoperative treatments and rehabilitation plans for those patients.
During the case discussion, doctors were keen on putting questions and discussing and Prof. Stinus combined with years of clinical experience to share his own experience and skills. The whole no.7 orthopedics department was filled with a strong academic atmosphere.
During his visit in Dongguan TCM, Prof. Stinus conducted guidance and practice on several surgeries, and his dedicated attitude as well as a clean standard technique, impressed the doctors presented.
In the afternoon of June 15th, Dongguan TCM Hospital held an open class on Sino-German Foot and Ankle Surgery, which was an academic seminar between Chinese and German experts. The attendants of this seminar included the President of the hospital, Guohua Ye, Prof. Stinus from the Medical Center of the University of Göttingen, Prof. Weidong Song from Sun Yet-Sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yet-Sen University, Prof. Xu Wang from Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, Director Lu of the General Orthopedic Department of Dongguan TCM Hospital, Qingxiang Xie, Director of the 7th Orthopedic Department and so on. Prof. Stinus delivered two academic speeches which explained the Lapidus surgery, the orthotics shoes, and the application of the orthotics shoes and his speeches also provoked heated discussion.
Prof. Stinus’ five-day visit to Dongguan TCM Hospital came to a successful end and he also received great recognition from his fellow professors in Dongguan TCM Hospital, for the doctor perceived that Prof. Stinus brought some novel theories on the treatment of foot and ankle which helped them to break down their stereotype on foot and ankle treatment. Prof. Stinus also spoke highly of members of the 7th Orthopedic Department for their excellent work. Besides, Prof. Stinus offered some practical advice on the development of Dongguan TCM Hospital and wished the Orthopedic Department of this hospital could have further development shortly.

Juin and Helen, from Gloryren, flew to Germany for a 12-days business trip. They visited Schön Klinik München Harlaching, München Comprehensive Cancer Center, Hospital of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) Munich Großhadern, Orthopadischen Chirurgie Munchen, Krankenhaus Agatharied Hospital, Schön Klinik Nürnberg Fürth, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Sana Kliniken Sommerfeld, Universitätsklinikum Leipzig and St. Josefs-Hospital Wiesbaden and have meeting with over 20 famous medical director of orthopedics hospital and masters. We sincerely invited them to come to Chinese IIIA-Grade hospitals as visiting professor and discussed the details of 2019 SEOS, which was very rewarding.
September 16th-20th, 2019
From September 16th to September 20th, 2019, Wolfgang Lehmann, Chief of the Department of Trauma Surgery, Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery of University Medical Center Goettingen, visited Guangzhou First People’s Hospital as visiting professor for academic and practical exchange as well as the unveiling ceremony of Sino-German Communication Center for Orthopedics.
Prof. Lehmann has participated in the ward rounds with Director Yunfa Yang’s team, and personally conducted the body examination which made the patients and their families feel warm.
Prof. Lehmann conducted pieces of trainings on department operation including showing some cases and operation of sacral fractures, pelvic fractures and acetabulum fractures. What’s more, he illustrated the Stoppa approach and the Kocher-Langenbeck approach in detail. Afterward, Prof. Lehmann gave lectures on periprosthetic fracture, and distal femur fractures.
On September 20th, Prof. Lehmann led a closed reduction proximal femoral nail antirotation which was also broadcast live to the orthopedics community. During the operation, Prof. Lehmann showed his proficient and exquisite surgical skills and explained the operation process carefully.
September 16th-20th, 2019
From September 16th to September 20th, 2019, Prof. Dürr, Head of bone tumor department and department of Orthopaedics, Physical Medical and Rehabilitation, hospital of LMU, Munich and Prof. Walther, Medical Director of Schön Klinik München Harlaching and Medical Director of FIFA Medical Center Munich under invitation to come to Foshan Hospital of TCM for academic and practical exchange as well as the unveiling ceremony of Sino-German Communication Center for Bone Tumor.
In the following week's work, Prof. Dürr, besides the outpatient clinic, also have ward rounds to conduct case discussion, which solved the problem for many patients. Prof. Dürr was the leading surgeon for a patient who suffered from bone metastasis of renal cancer, who received resection of tumor segment on proximal femoral and replacement of prosthesis. The surgery went extremely well. During the process, Prof. Dürr showcased sophisticated control and professional techniques, helping the team member of their department participating in the operation learned a lot.
Though it was the first time that Prof. Dürr had been to Foshan Hospital of TCM, he was deeply impressed by characteristic traditional Chinese medicine and the harmonious relationships between patients and medical staff.
Prof. Walther also focused on difficult and complicated cases for foot deformity (hallux and flatfoot), trauma, sports injury and other aspects by carrying out thematic teaching, case discussion, surgical guidance and other exchange activities.

On september 16th to 20th ,2020, Dr. med. Daniel J. Rosenthal, who is Head of the Section of Spine Surgery, Regional Hospital Bad Homburg, Germany was invited to Jiangmen People’s Hospital to carry out academic exchange, which is the third visit of Dr. Rosenthal to China.
Dr. Rosenthal pointed out that age is not the contraindication for surgery. Most of the surgeries highly depends on individual conditions. What’s more, Dr. Rosenthal came up with two significant innovation philosophy which are the precise and minimally invasive of surgery. In the past, most patients and their family members are frightened by spine surgery even just by mentioning it, especially if the patients are the elder, people find it hard to accept such risky surgery. Nowadays, the department is providing services such as minimally invasive surgery for spine, and this break the belief that age is the contraindication and spine surgery has been benefiting more and more elders.
In the afternoon of September 20th, Dr. Rosenthal and the team of Orthopedics Department of Jiangmen People's Hospital successfully performed the first case of microscopically oblique lateral interbody fusion(improved OLIF) for a 79-year-old patient in the hospital, filling the gap of this technology in Wuyi area, which was globally live broadcast to show other surgeon the whole process of this surgery, providing real-time observation for orthopedic colleagues.
Associate President of Jiangmen People’s Hospital suggested that the third time of Dr. Rosenthal’ visit further improved the technology of diagnosis and treatment, pushed forward the development of their orthopedics to the next level, strengthened the development of the hospital and the construction of orthopaedics specialty in Wuyi area, thus providing more allocated services for the common people.

From September 16th to 20th ,2019, Prof. Haasters, who is Chief of Shoulder Surgery at the Center of Knee, Hip and Shoulder Surgery at the Schön Klinik München Harlaching, came to Jiangmen Central Hospital to work as a visiting professor, carried out a series of activities for academic exchanges.
During the outpatient period, Prof. Haasters' meticulous work spirit, extraordinary medical skills and diagnosis and treatment level are not only appreciated by young doctors, but also trusted and praised by patients.
On September 18th , Prof. Haasters performed two surgeries for repairing and suturing of rotator cuff. His skillful technique was praised by the present young doctors.
On September 19th , Prof. Haasters participated in the 2019 Sino German Symposium on Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery hosted by Jiangmen Central Hospital and the academic exchange of Jiangmen Central hospital orthopaedic specialty alliance, and gave a wonderful shoulder joint lecture.
In the morning of On September 20th , Prof. Haasters made ward rounds together with the team led by Yunaqiao Huang of Jiangmen Central Hospital and also participated in professional lecture, analyzing and discussions.
The success of the Sino-German International Symposium 2019 on Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery marks a breakthrough in diagnosis and treatment for sports medicine and shoulder disease in Jiangmen area.

September 16th to 20th
From September 16th to 20th ,2019, a renowned joint expert -- Prof. Siebert came to Dongguan People’s Hospital again to carry out the work as visiting professor.
For this time of visit, Prof. Siebert exchanged ideas on the treatment of osteoarthritis of knee, and he pointed that most elderly patients in Germany are treated with conservative treatment, acupuncture is one of the prevalent fashion.
Besides following up with the previous cases, Prof. Siebert also had outpatient at the VIP Clinic to provide treatment protocols for many patients with difficult cases.
Prof. Siebert performed a highly complex surgery for a patient who suffered from severe valgus of right knee with osteoarthritis on September 20th , which is also live broadcast through 5G to the surgeons in Dongguan area.

From September 16th to 20th ,2019, Dr. Pingel, who is the Deputy Chief of Center for Spinal Surgery and Neurotraumatology of Berufsgenossenschaftliche Unfallklinik Frankfurt am Main was invited to be an international visiting professor at Dongguan Hospital of TCM, and celebrated the establishment of Sino-Germany Communication Center for Spine and carried out series of activities for academic exchange.
With the accompany of other members of the department, Dr. Pingel received more than 30 outpatients at the VIP Clinic who suffer from spine diseases. No matter in outpatient clinic or ward rounds, Dr. Pingel communicated with the patients in a kind and gentle manner, and gives authoritative diagnosis and treatment advice, which is highly praised by the accompanying doctors and patients!
Dr. Pingel also participated in the discussion on difficult and complicated case of spine. Both the Chinese side and the German side shared their experiences given to specific cases which aroused academic torrent of spine for them.
In order to further promote surgical exchange, Dr. Pingel provided surgical guidance for arthrodesis, percutaneous vertebroplasty, biopsy, kyphoplasty and minimally invasive lumbar fusion, and he also performed a German minimally invasive surgery for lumbar fusion as a chief surgeon, which was praised by other surgeons who are also involved in the same surgery.

From September 16th to 20th ,2019, Prof. Mayr, who is Head of Department of Knee, Hip and Shoulder Surgery and the Director of Medical Care Center of Schön Klinik München Harlaching together with Prof. Siepe, Head of Department of Spine Surgery, Schön Klinik München Harlaching carried out their work of visiting professor at Guangdong Provincial TCM Hospital
During the process of having rounds, difficult and complicated cases and having outpatient discussing, Prof. Siepe contrapuntally provided standard advice for diagnosis and treatment besides communicating with patients and eliminating their concerns.
Prof. Siepe also delivered a lecture on the topic concerning artificial disc technology and A-LIFT. Spine surgeon from each branch of Provincial Traditional Chinese medicine were all participated in it.
For the live surgery broadcast to be carried out successfully, Prof. Siepe and Director Bolai Chen carefully discussed surgical protocols and prepared surgical instruments in advance. Prof. Siepe had observed many of surgeries and had rehearsals for the surgery in order to overcome the differences of surgical procedures between Chinese and German one.

From September 16th to 20th , Dr. Schnake, Chair of Center for Spinal and Scoliosis Therapy, Schön Klinik Nürnberg Fürth, Germany is joining the visiting professor project at Huaxin Orthopaedics Hospital and participated in the opening ceremony for Sino-Euro Communication for Orthopaedics and Langde AI Rehabilitation Centre.
Dr. Schnake also gave multiple thematic lectures for spine at Huaxin Orthopaedics Hospital besides having outpatients who suffered from spine diseases and providing best treatment protocol. He reckons that operative approach may be better determined efficiently via learning the latest classification for scoliosis.

Dr. med. Hartmut Stinus, who is Senior Consultant in Trauma Surgery, Orthopedics and Plastic Surgery departments in Universitätsmedizin Göttingen arrived at dongguan hospital of TCM again from September 23rd - 27th to carry out activities of academic exchange as visiting professor.

From December 16th - 21th, international expert for spine -- Dr. med. Klaus John Schnake, who is the Head of The Center for Spinal and Scoliosis Therapy, Schön Klinik Nürnberg Fürth, arrived at the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University to work as a visiting professor.
