Over the past seven years, many renowned key academic leaders from Germany have chosen to collaborate exclusively with Gloryren in China, as only Gloryren is capable of professionally managing and enhancing their international influence in China. They have come to work in Grade III-A hospitals in China as international visiting professors. Many of them shared with us that the healthcare system in Germany once went through a dark period of corruption. After World War II, the United States launched the “Operation Paperclip,” a large-scale program to recruit leading German experts. The United States initiated an aggressive campaign to directly recruit talent from Germany. Within just a few years, they recruited approximately 1,600 prominent German scientists and medical experts and successfully relocated them to the United States. This greatly contributed to the rapid advancement of science and medicine in post-war America. Many Nobel Prize winners in the United States were originally German. From then on, many of Germany’s top experts emigrated to the United States, leaving behind those considered less prominent. By the 1960s, corruption in the healthcare system in Germany had become severe. Once corruption spreads across industries, it poses a serious threat to the nation. The West German government then made a firm decision to launch a large-scale anti-corruption campaign. Many corrupted hospital presidents and doctors were imprisoned, and their cases were publicly reported in the media. With these measures in place, hospitals across Germany came to realize that corruption would inevitable lead to imprisonment and public exposure nationwide. Doctors at all levels became genuinely fearful, as the cost of breaking the law was simply too high. From that point on, most German doctors began to focus their efforts on hospital management, specialty construction, and talent cultivation. As a result, the entire healthcare system began to revitalize. German hospitals started to produce many world-class doctors. Doctors truly began to serve the public with dedication, treating all patients equally regardless of wealth. Doctors became one of the most respected profession in Germany, and a genuine culture of respect for academia emerged throughout society. Outstanding and top-tier doctors also earned very competitive incomes, forming a virtuous cycle within the healthcare industry. We are living in the best era of China’s 5,000-year history. Each of us should contribute to our country. No matter how big or small, every effort matters.
